Walker is born June 26 1976 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania United States of America. She is of African-American heritage as well as an American national. She is the child of Harvey Welker, a Native American father, along with Julie Welker, an African American Mother. Her mother is an agent in real estate while her father is engineer. Walker received her schooling at Germantown Friends School located in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, graduating in 1994. She went to Harvard College, where she received a Bachelors in Arts degree. Welker has been since the age of 20 with John Hughes who is a prominent marketing director for Merck Philadelphia. They have two children. The couple began dating. John is husband to her, and four years older than she. It was going great, so they decided to keep their friendship going.
