Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Born in Winnipeg but raised in Wellington She had her first appearance as an actor on screen in The Piano. In this romance film, at the age of the age of 11, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for portraying the bright and curious daughter of Holly Hunter's main character on the film The Piano. In response to an audition Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter of a Scottish pianist. Flora McGrath is the daughter of the mute Scottish musician, who emigrated from Scotland to New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. As a teenager, she made the move to America. Paquin was the main character in Fly Away Home in 1996 as well as a brief appearance in the film as Jane Eyre as still a toddler. Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played Queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 feature film Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
