Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most rare of all pop stars. She was an artist who was able to successfully cross the divide between country and pop while sweeping the globe. Swift left her heritage in country music as if she was a second skin and showed she had the finest pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only musician/singer to follow the zeitgeist of popular music on the road. This was evident in her early songs, particularly on the neo homage of Tim McGraw. On her second release Fearless (2008) Swift showed a songwriter getting to understand her. The album was a huge success, not just in America, but also with six platinum-certified singles. Its Top Ten songs Love Story and You Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. It also performed exceptionally well throughout the world. Swift managed to build upon her popularity with Speak Now almost two year later. In the following three years, her fame was growing through the years -the albums - Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) during which time Swift entered the realm of pop in which her talent was already well-established. As she cut her style by releasing stripped-down albums like 2020, folklore and Evermore but she was still on top. It was a position that was confirmed through re-recordings of her previous catalog, as in Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
